In the fourteenth week of AP Lit, I was very sick and hated everything in life to the point where I didn't even go to school on thursday, but while I was in class and decided to use my time like I was supposed to and not thinking about how much mucus was coming out of my body, I guess there was something to talk about.
The poem of the week was one by Shakespeare and one by Shelly. They had to do with the soul living on after death and a statue talking about this guy who was the king of kings but no one knew who he was respectively. They were both sonnets and so we would also discuss the structure.
Earlier, we had to choose between Macbeth and King Lear and the class separated, and I got in a group and we were going to tackle the subject of feminism and gender roles in Macbeth. So this week, we had to answer questions about our theme together but most were answered by Sela, and I feel bad for that but I think a lot had to do with my disconnect from everything, so I want to give it an extra 200% now that I'm getting better.
So my understanding of this week would be like a 3/5, because while the stuff about Macbeth was fine, the poems really didn't peak any interests especially when mixed with my cold.
